In order to process financial transactions, we may ask you for your bank or credit card details. If you make a donation online, your card information is collected by our partner organisations, Just Giving or CAF, but is not held by us.
When you supply information such as your name or email address to us, we are legally obliged by the Data Protection Act 1998 to ensure that we only use this information for the purpose for which it was requested, and to ensure that it is kept securely.

ThePromise is the sole owner of the information collected on this Website. When you are using our secure online donation pages, your donation is processed by Just Giving or CAF, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. If you have any questions regarding secure transactions, email the relevant web managers.
Yes. Cookies are pieces of information that are sent to your computer by ThePromise if you log onto our website with a user name. They are stored on your computer’s hard drive, allowing us to recognise you as a user when you next visit. If you just visit the site without logging in, no cookies are stored.

You can unsubscribe from our emails by following the instructions at the bottom of any email you receive from us. To unsubscribe from receiving all email communications from ThePromise please email the Data Protection Officer.
Updating your information
